The International Trading Institute (ITI) congratulates our Founder and Chairman, Francesc Riverola, on being awarded an Honorary Membership by the Society of Technical Analysts (STA),one of the most respected organizations in the field of technical analysis and behavioral finance.
This distinction recognizes over 25 years of leadership and innovation dedicated to improving how traders learn, think, and perform.
Throughout his career, Francesc has championed transparency, access, and professional standards in markets – principles that shape ITI’s mission and academic philosophy today.
A Career Built on Raising The Bar for Trader Education
Francesc’s journey began in 2000, when he co-founded FXStreet withSetxi Fernandes and Miriam Pinatell. What started as a pioneering initiative to provide independent, real-time market information evolved into one of the world’s most trusted platforms for financial news, analysis, and trader education. FXStreet helped shape how retail and institutional traders access objective market insights and learn from global experts.
In 2021, Francesc expanded that mission with the launch of FinancialMarkets.media (FMM), together with Sergi López Tomàs, creating a specialized media agency dedicated to helping financial firms enhance their digital presence and global reach through intelligent communication and marketing strategies.
From Mission to Institution: The Founding of ITI
The founding of the International Trading Institute (ITI) in 2024 represents the culmination of Francesc’s lifelong commitment to structured, high-quality trader education. Our flagship Master’s in Trading Program integrates market theory, live execution practice, and behavioral performance training into a rigorous, professionally oriented curriculum.
Taught by seasoned market practitioners, the program equips students with the skill, discipline, and long-term perspective required to operate at a professional standard.
“Receiving this Honorary Membership is a true honor,” said Francesc Riverola.
“It reflects the shared vision behind everything we’ve built at ITI — to elevate trading education to a professional and academic standard. Our mission is to help traders not only understand the markets, but also themselves — so they can make better, more consistent decisions over time.”
Why This Matters for the Profession and For Our Students
Francesc’s recognition by the STA reinforces ITI’s growing role as a thought leader in professional trading education, uniting technical knowledge, behavioral science, and practical application to develop a new generation of informed, ethical, and high-performing traders.
